Noronco anti-snoring mouthpiece (Purchased on 12/30/2008)
by Noronco ...not effective, did not hold up well in hot water, did not stop snoring and did cause gum and teeth pain from forced out of jaw alignment...just another money making deal to prey upon snoring victims.

My wife says it doesn't work. What do I know, I was asleep. I was able to fit it okay so I don't think that was the problem. I do know it feels like SANDPAPER in my mouth. The other mouthpieces I've used are smooth in texture like a athletic mouth guard but this one is very rough. Don't waste your money.

The item I ordered is somewhat big in your mouth. It does work though! My husband said I actually did not snore. So that was a good thing. When you put it in your mouth it just feels funny and somewhat bulky. Something you'd have to get used to. I just wear it every now and then. Not every day. I'd recommmend it to someone to buy and try. It's not that expensive and you can just use it sometimes.

I purchased this item to try to help aleviate a snoring problem that I have. It does not work as well as it sounds like it would. It may stop snoring, to some extent, but it is very uncomfortable, and if you stop snoring, then you have an issue with extra saliva build up while you are sleeping. It gets noisy when you try to swollow, and then I did not worry about snoring any more, but about waking up my husband when I would try to swollow, as you get this really funky sucking sound, or you end up drooling all night with wich you still can not sleep.

It was a complete waste of money!!! Very over rated!

I bought this for my husband who snores like a jet engine. I had low expectations when purchasing so I would not be disappointed. First of all, it is not blue as pictured. It is all clear and has an opening in the middle of the top/bottom so mouth breathers can breathe while sleeping. You boil water, place the mouthpiece in the boiling water for a few seconds, remove, pull the lower jaw forward, place the mouthpiece in the mouth, and bite down until it form fits. You are advised not to do the process twice. Well, we had to because the first time, the piece didn't mold very well. Second time around, the thing molded just fine. It states for the first few weeks you will feel discomfort, mouth pain, and possibly headache. My husband had all three. He hates using it. It has reduced the snoring by about 60% overall. I guess that is better than nothing. I mean for $27.95 what can I expect?

I find this chin strap the most effect I have tried, and I have tried 5 different types and brands. My only complaint is that they should last longer (they stretch out beyond comfortable adjustment much too quickly) for the price.

I have had trouble with waking myself up, even though I use a C-Pap machine and a chin strap. This one keeps the mouth shut so that I get a full night's rest. Most chin straps I have tried do not fit properly so they fail at once, or soon after I start using them. The non-adustable version of the Ruby also works, but may be too tight for some folks. For what you get, the price is cheap. Unlike many others, it does not bother your ears.

I have been looking for a firm, cool, supportive pillow that would not disturb my full face bipap mask. I have purchased many pillows and this is the closest match to my needs. The pillow case was difficult to put on and a poor fit to the basic pillow. I wish the pillow were a little smaller, but the cutout for the mask and the height of the pillow is perfect for side sleepers. A warning to purchasers - it is a FIRM pillow. I have only used it for one night and I am wondering if I can cut a small dent in the foam for my ear. All in all though, I would certainly recommend it for any full face mask users who want a FIRM foam pillow.

I was diagnosed with sleep apnea recently and got my CPap less than a month ago. I am pretty upset about this condition and am reading everything I can get my hands on to try to understand it. So far I have read most of the books on Amazon that cost under $50. This one is far and away the best in my view. Mr. Abrams has clearly put a brilliant mind and hundreds of hours of scientific research into his book. He was motivated because he has sleep apnea, but it took his background as an engineer to enable him to understand and relate scientific studies to the condition. I like this book best because it is not blinded by the conventional sleep study "wisdom." All to often doctors think in small "approved" channels and sleep apnea, which is an overwhelming topic, is falling in to this "controlled" "conventional" thinking, I fear. Mr. Abrams has connected scientific papers, analyzed them, and has come up with some very important and unconventional theories that I think are fascinating and well worth considering. So far, his theory that hypercoagulability, gout, and ventricular arrythmia are often a product of sleep apnea, may save a life in my own family! Best book on the subject so far. I have purchased over 10 copies and am distributing them to doctors and friends.
